night out

it's 816a and i'm blogging and i have work at 10a and i went out last night and i should be getting ready for work now. but i'm blogging.

last night was a friend's party and we went to this place in schaumburg called uh.. john barley corn. i think that's the name. and it's a restaurant/bar downstairs and a club upstairs. it's kinda like hennessy/onQ turned hennessy/boogie nights here in elgin by 90. only jbc is more affordable.

so yea. what's the point of my blog again, i already forgot.. oh yea. i was just thinking last night that maybe i am growing up (!! aaaahhhhh !!), and my taste for a night out of fun and partying has changed. there's this seed of satisfaction that i get whenever i hang out with the 20somethings than with a crowd of young 'uns + newbs (read: people my age as opposed to people younger than 21 and/or just turned 21, thus newbies.)

it's like with the younger crowd it's who can drink the most, who can dress the best, who can dance the sluttiest, who can hook up first. it's about too much drinking, too much flirting, too much bootydancing, too much skin, too much make up. and anyone noticed how they're always tell their stories "in confidence" coz they don't want to find out and then realize you're not the only person they've told? i've always thought that was funny.

with the 20something crowd, i think since there's a "we've been there, done that" attitude, it's more relaxed. we don't go to a club "on the prowl". it's about friends, and catching up, and there's definitely less adventure to the bathroom coz someone drank too much and is puking their brains out. i feel more laid back, coz no one is too agressive to "party it out." i mean, don't get me wrong, there'r still wild crazy nights and wild crazy stories, but the fact that we're cruising our twenties already, it's "nothing new."

i mean my younger friends, they're fun too. the craziness, wackiness, immaturity (i don't mean this in a badway, i promise), it's fun too, like house parties and hang outs and movies and the mall. that stuff.

iono, i think i am more at par with partying with the 20somethings. i enjoy it more. i don't end up leaving the club talking about stuff that happened at the club that i didn't like, or appreciate.

plus there's less "having sex on the dance floor" dance moves.

cheers to friends!!
